Lucknow, Feb 21 :  In a significant step towards advancing foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN), One Tara by DEVI Sansthan has signed multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with leading educational institutions across four states. These agreements were formalized during the two-day Leadership Circle 2 event at the World Unity Convention Centre in Lucknow. Partnering organizations include ABSSSS (Musabad, Lucknow), Vedanta Sanskarshala (Ludhiana, Punjab), Naya Savera (Gurugram, Haryana), and Golden Future Trust (Lucknow). The collaboration aims to scale impact-driven initiatives focused on education, healthcare, and livelihoods for marginalized communities, particularly women and children. By leveraging each organization’s expertise, the MoUs seek to standardize best practices, share resources, and implement scalable community development models.

The event featured a panel discussion on policies to accelerate learning, with insights from key government officials such as Ashok Kumar Singh, Director of School Education, Jammu, and Abhishek Verma, Additional District Commissioner, Shimla, among others. Singh emphasized the importance of student involvement in FLN, advocating for peer teaching to bridge literacy gaps in remote areas. He also invited DEVI Sansthan to Jammu to train master trainers in ALfA: Accelerating Learning for All, an innovative pedagogy designed to enhance learning outcomes. The workshop also hosted discussions on the role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in promoting FLN, with industry leaders from Capgemini, Vedanta, and WNS Global Services sharing insights on CSR policies and investment strategies.

Dr. Sunita Gandhi, Founder of DEVI Sansthan and One Tara, highlighted the broader vision behind these partnerships, stating that the MoUs represent a commitment to transforming education through collaboration. The Leadership Circle event reinforced the organization’s mission to reach over 500,000 students in the next five years through evidence-based interventions. With support from governments, educational institutions, and corporate partners, DEVI Sansthan continues to drive sustainable impact in the education sector, ensuring quality learning opportunities for underserved communities.
