Washington, Feb 15 : A report by the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF) has revealed that the CEO of S&L Aerospace Metals LLC, a defense contractor supplying parts for U.S. military aircraft, has ties to Chinese Communist Party (CCP) intelligence and influence organizations. This revelation has sparked national security concerns, as the New York-based company is also a member of a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) council on critical manufacturing.
According to DCNF, Jerry Wang, also known as Wang Jue, is linked to several CCP influence and intelligence groups, as reported by Chinese government sources and state media. Although Wang has denied affiliations with “foreign political entities” through his attorney, he did not dispute being photographed with senior CCP members at official events. His connections have raised questions about potential ties to Chinese President Xi Jinping and other Communist Party leaders.
Former U.S. Air Force intelligence analyst L.J. Eads highlighted the security risks, stating, “Allowing someone with Wang’s background access to critical U.S. supply chains is a glaring national security failure.” Michigan Republican Rep. John Moolenaar also expressed concern, emphasizing the need to address vulnerabilities in the defense supply chain to protect national security. The situation underscores the potential risks posed by foreign influence within sensitive U.S. industries.
