New Delhi, Feb 16 : Bharat Tex 2025 is set to lead the charge in sustainable textiles, showcasing innovative solutions, global partnerships, and eco-friendly manufacturing practices that are reshaping the industry.

As the world shifts towards sustainable textile solutions, Bharat Tex 2025 positions itself as a pioneer in responsible production, innovation, and circularity. Scheduled from February 12-17, 2025, the event will take place at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi (Feb 14-17), and India Expo Centre, Greater Noida (Feb 12-15). With participation from over 5,000 exhibitors, 6,000 international buyers from 110+ countries, and 120,000+ visitors across 2.2 million sq. ft. of exhibition space, the event promises to be a landmark in sustainable textile innovation.

Supported by the Ministry of Textiles and 11 key industry bodies, Bharat Tex 2025 will emphasize “Innovation Meets Responsibility,” highlighting the industry’s move towards sustainable practices, digital transformation, and efficient value chains. Special zones on smart textiles, green manufacturing, and circular economy solutions will reflect the sector’s commitment to environmentally responsible growth.

The expo will also feature interactive areas for fabric testing, innovation displays, and startup-driven solutions, further solidifying India’s position as a leader in advanced textile technology.

Key Sustainability Initiatives at Bharat Tex 2025:


– Launch of the UNIDO-GEF-Ministry of Textiles Project to eliminate hazardous chemicals from textile production.
– Introduction of seven new EU-funded projects in textiles, handlooms, and handicrafts, totaling EUR 17.67 million.
– Presentation of AI & Blockchain solutions for textile recycling, and EU-REI toolkits on Circular Economy & Resource Efficiency.
– A dedicated Sustainability Pavilion showcasing breakthrough innovations like water-efficient dyeing, organic cotton farming, and textile waste upcycling.
– Real-world demonstrations of circular economy principles by textile clusters from Panipat, Tirupur, and Surat.
– Special focus on Kasturi Cotton, India’s premium sustainable cotton brand, emphasizing traceability and global standards.

Conferences and Workshops:
The event will host a global conference featuring over 80 international speakers across 70+ sessions on topics such as:
– The Future of Sustainable Textiles
– Pathways to Decarbonization
– Green Synergy in Value Chains
– Circular Economy in Textiles
– Regulatory Shifts Impacting Global Trade

A multilateral conclave will gather policymakers, global think tanks, and industry leaders, including representatives from the United Nations, European Commission, and Fashion for Good. Additionally, a workshop with the Laudes Foundation will offer strategies for MSMEs to integrate sustainability into their operations.

Focus on Sustainable Fashion and Cultural Significance:
Bharat Tex 2025 will spotlight sustainable fashion with live zero-waste design demonstrations and eco-friendly collections. Discussions on green financing, resource efficiency, and global sustainability standards will help textile businesses adapt to changing market demands.

The event will also feature sustainability awards and special initiatives, including the Better Cotton Initiative Annual Meet and the launch of UNEP’s ‘Training of Trainers Toolkit for Sustainable Fashion Communication.’

To celebrate India’s textile heritage, Bharat Tex 2025 will host Indi-Haat, showcasing traditional handlooms and handicrafts, supporting sustainable livelihoods while preserving age-old crafts.
