Ahmedabad, Feb 18 : The Adani Foundation has partnered with GEMS Education, a leading global provider of private K-12 education, to establish world-class schools across India. Backed by an initial contribution of Rs 2,000 crore from the Adani family, the initiative aims to make high-quality education and advanced learning infrastructure accessible to all sections of society, the Adani Foundation announced on Monday.
This commitment is part of the Rs 10,000 crore pledge made by Gautam Adani in celebration of his son Jeet Adani’s wedding. The Adani Foundation, which serves as the CSR arm of the Adani Group, emphasized that the initiative aligns with Chairman Gautam Adani’s social philosophy: “Service is meditation, service is prayer, and service is God.” The partnership will also establish top-tier research institutions focused on enhancing teaching competencies through innovation and capacity building.
The first ‘Adani GEMS School of Excellence’ is set to open in Lucknow for the 2025-26 academic year. Over the next three years, at least 20 such schools in the K-12 segment will be launched across major metropolitan cities, with plans to expand into Tier II to IV cities. In these schools, 30% of seats under the CBSE curriculum will be reserved for underprivileged and deserving students, offering them free education, the foundation noted.
By leveraging the Adani Group’s extensive national reach and infrastructure capabilities, combined with GEMS Education’s global expertise, the partnership aims to create a scalable, affordable, and sustainable model for quality education across India.
