New Delhi, Feb 21 : In the lead-up to International Women’s Day, the Adani Foundation hosted its inaugural national-level roundtable in the capital on February 19, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss strategies for advancing women’s empowerment across India.
A highlight of the event was the launch of the Foundation’s ‘Butterfly Effect’ framework—a comprehensive approach designed to support women at various stages of life, addressing their evolving needs and fostering long-term socio-economic growth.
According to the Adani Foundation, this roundtable provided a crucial platform for stakeholders to exchange insights, explore strategic collaborations, and enhance the reach and impact of women-focused initiatives. The discussion aimed to identify new partnerships to scale up efforts for the socio-economic empowerment of women across different age groups nationwide.
Since its inception in 1996, the Adani Foundation has been committed to empowering women through targeted initiatives that cater to their needs at every life stage—from infancy and adolescence to adulthood and old age. Rather than relying on charitable aid, the Foundation emphasizes education, nutrition, healthcare, skills development, and economic independence, enabling women to achieve self-reliance and autonomy.
With a strong focus on promoting economic participation, the Foundation is driving change by improving healthcare, education, sustainable livelihoods, and infrastructure, empowering women to make meaningful choices for themselves and their families. The ‘Butterfly Effect’ framework embodies this holistic approach by placing women at the center of every intervention, ensuring continuous support for their growth and empowerment.
During the event, the Foundation also launched the ‘Supporting Her Exponential Empowerment (S.H.E.)’ Report, which outlines its ongoing efforts to uplift women across all life stages. The report provides an in-depth analysis of its initiatives and their impact nationwide.
Abhishek Lakhtakia, CEO of the Adani Foundation, reiterated the Foundation’s commitment to advancing women’s empowerment, stating, “Our initiatives are designed to ensure equitable access to opportunities, fostering growth, well-being, and self-sufficiency at every stage of a woman’s journey. This roundtable is a crucial step toward accelerating impact and driving transformative change.”
He also emphasized the importance of collective action, calling for greater collaboration to amplify the scale and effectiveness of interventions.
Through its inclusive, sustainable, and transformative approach, the Adani Foundation has positively impacted over two million women and girls across India. Established in 1996, the Foundation continues to spearhead initiatives that drive lasting change in communities nationwide.
