Udaipur, Jan 14 : A major Credit Linkages Camp, organized by Hanuman Van Vikas Samiti in collaboration with Manjari Foundation, was held at the Pratap Gaurav Kendra in Udaipur, marking a significant step toward women’s empowerment and financial inclusion in the region. The event was graced by prominent leaders including Miss Vijaya Kishore Rahatkar, Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, Dr. Manju Baghmar, Rajaya Mantri for Mahila evam Bal Vikas Vibhag and Cabinet Minister, Shri Babu Lal Kharadi, and MP Share Mannal Lal Rawat, along with RMGB Chairman

The camp aimed at facilitating credit access for women, particularly through Self-Help Groups (SHGs), was a significant milestone in the efforts to empower women financially. Over 500 Sakhi women from across the region participated in the event, which underscored the importance of inclusive financial services in empowering women and promoting their economic independence.

Addressing the gathering, Miss Vijaya Kishore Rahatkar lauded the efforts of the organizers, particularly the RMGB (Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin Bank), in ensuring that women have access to much-needed financial resources. “Women’s financial independence is critical to their overall empowerment. The Credit Linkages Camp is a step toward fostering self-reliance among women and ensuring that they have the tools and opportunities to succeed,” said Rahatkar.

Dr. Manju Baghmar, in her address, emphasized the government’s ongoing commitment to women’s development, focusing on the importance of creating systems that enable women to participate in economic activities effectively. She also recognized the potential of SHGs in bridging the gap between women and financial institutions, ensuring that women are no longer sidelined when it comes to accessing financial support for their ventures.

Shri Babu Lal Kharadi spoke about the government’s role in facilitating better opportunities for rural women. “This initiative not only provides credit but also empowers women with the confidence to make decisions that affect their financial well-being and that of their families,” he noted. His speech also highlighted the government’s continuous efforts in creating a conducive environment for rural women to thrive in the economic sector.

During the event, a total of 2.51 Crore was disbursed by RMGB to 67 Sakhi SHGs, a move that will significantly impact the financial capabilities of these groups. The funds will help them expand their businesses, support income-generating activities, and improve their quality of life. Each SHG received funds that will help its members further their economic goals, whether in agriculture, handicrafts, retail, or other sectors where they are active.

Chairman Share Mannal Lal Rawat of RMGB expressed his pride in the success of the initiative and affirmed the bank’s commitment to supporting women’s entrepreneurship. “RMGB is proud to be part of this transformative journey. This credit linkages initiative is just one of the many steps we are taking to support women’s financial inclusion. The success of Sakhi SHGs proves that when women have access to resources, they have the power to uplift themselves and their communities,” Rawat said.

The event was a testimony to the power of collective efforts between the government and financial institutions in creating a platform where women can take charge of their financial futures. With more than 500 women in attendance, the camp also served as an opportunity for networking and collaboration among rural women involved in various business and entrepreneurial ventures.

As a result of such initiatives, the path toward financial independence for women in Rajasthan looks promising, with numerous opportunities for growth and success ahead. The program was a key step in ensuring that women, especially from rural areas, have the necessary resources to thrive in today’s dynamic economy.
