Mumbai : BharatPe Group, a leading fintech player in India, has partnered with NASSCOM Foundation to support 1,500 women entrepreneurs across six districts in Maharashtra—Ahmednagar, Beed, Buldhana, Latur, Sindhudurg, and Kolhapur—through the ‘Formal Registration and Digital Market Linkage Program for Women Entrepreneurs.‘ This initiative focuses on formalizing their businesses and providing digital market access to help them thrive in the formal economy. Of the 1,500 women, 250 have already benefited from market linkages, improving their business prospects and financial stability.
The initiative, part of BharatPe’s ‘BharatPe Cares’ CSR program, is designed to promote financial inclusion and business growth for rural women. Women entrepreneurs from the Maharashtra State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM) were identified, and Local Resource Persons (LRPs) were trained to provide ongoing support, including guidance on government schemes, MSME documentation, and market linkages through platforms like MSME Global Mart, GEM, UMEED Mart, and ONDC.
Nalin Negi, CEO of BharatPe, emphasized the company’s commitment to driving financial empowerment and business expansion for women entrepreneurs across India, while Rostow Ravanan, Chairperson of NASSCOM Foundation, highlighted the initiative’s role in fostering economic independence for women in rural communities, empowering them with the skills and resources necessary to succeed.
