Visakhapatnam : In a recent development, Atmakuri Krishna Kumar, the elder son of the late Atmakuri Sankar Rao, has been appointed as the Managing Trustee of Sankar Foundation. The decision was made during the 172nd Trust Board meeting, presided over by Board Chairman M. Ramdas, as stated by the Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital.
The meeting saw participation from Prof. A. Prasanna Kumar, Atmakuri Krishna Kumar, Atmakuri Vijay Kumar, and A. Ram Kumar, who joined via video conference from the United States.
Doctors and staff at Sankar Foundation extended their congratulations to Mr. Krishna Kumar on his new role.
Established in 1997, Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital has conducted 4,61,345 eye surgeries and screened 2.68 million patients to date, according to the hospital’s statement.
