The ‘Aspirational Blocks National Conference’ focuses on a cooperative approach to development, aimed at transforming identified “Aspirational Blocks” based on Human Development Indicators (HDIs) like health, education, and livelihoods. This event, scheduled for November 15-16, 2024, at the Rajasthan International Centre in Jaipur, is part of the 71st All India Cooperative Week 2024. Organized by the Confederation of NGOs of Rural India (CNRI), World Cooperation Economic Forum (WCoopEF), and Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), the conference will bring together policymakers, development experts, and stakeholders.
Key Sessions
1. Farmer-Centric Cooperative Economic Framework : Discussions on aligning development schemes with a focus on agricultural transformation, improving market access, financial inclusion, and establishing a cooperative-led commodity exchange for these blocks.
2. Net-Zero Emission Goal by 2045 : Multi-stakeholder engagement to make aspirational blocks net-zero emitters by 2045, addressing carbon reduction, resource efficiency, and sustainable development.
3. Data-Governance for HDI Improvement : Developing a data-driven action plan through cooperatives to target sectors like health, education, water, and agriculture for effective HDI improvement.
4. Capacity Building for Local Governance : Empowering local governance structures and communities in line with the vision for a developed India by 2047, focusing on community ownership and sustainable reforms.
