New Delhi : The Anil Agarwal Foundation, the philanthropic wing of Vedanta Limited, has been awarded the ‘Mahatma Award 2024 for CSR Excellence.’ The ceremony took place at the India International Centre in New Delhi on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti.

This prestigious award acknowledges the Foundation’s initiatives in areas such as women and child development, animal welfare, healthcare, skills training and livelihood, and sports. In the fiscal year 2023-24, AAF invested INR 437.87 crore, positively impacting 1.73 crore lives across over 1,200 villages in India. Additionally, AAF has committed to invest INR 5,000 crore over the next five years to enhance socio-economic development for 7.5 million community members.

The Mahatma Award honors global leaders and change-makers dedicated to creating a social impact and fostering a sustainable future. Since its inception, the award has recognized outstanding efforts in sustainable and responsible initiatives across the private, public, and development sectors.
