Andhra Pradesh SIPB Clears ₹30,515 Crore Investments, Including ₹6,000 Crore Renewable Energy Project

Vijayawada, 19June: The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) has approved investment proposals worth ₹30,515 crore from 50 companies across multiple sectors, paving the way for the creation of nearly 29,677 jobs in the state.

Among the key projects approved is a ₹6,000 crore renewable energy investment by NTPC Renewable Energy in Anantapur district, underscoring Andhra Pradesh’s growing role in India’s clean energy transition. Other major proposals include Premier Energies’ ₹3,936 crore solar manufacturing facility in Tirupati, CtrlS Datacenters’ ₹2,788 crore data centre project in Anakapalli, and Proterial India’s ₹2,250 crore advanced materials investment.

The approvals were granted during the 18th SIPB meeting chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at the State Secretariat in Amaravati. Emphasising inclusive growth, Mr. Naidu said the benefits of industrial expansion must extend beyond large corporations to create opportunities for poor and middle-class families, entrepreneurs, and startups.

“The state is witnessing rapid industrial development. The gains from this growth should reach every section of society through employment generation, entrepreneurship, and economic participation,” the Chief Minister said.

Mr. Naidu also directed officials to strengthen support for startups incubated through the Real-Time Innovation Hub (RTIH) and help them attract venture capital funding. He stressed the need to build a robust industrial ecosystem that encourages innovation while generating sustainable employment opportunities.

Highlighting the importance of future-ready skills, the Chief Minister called on the Education Department to align academic curricula with emerging industrial requirements, including artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, automation, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

Taking a firm stance on project implementation, Mr. Naidu said Andhra Pradesh would have “no place for non-serious investors” and instructed officials to closely monitor approved projects to ensure timely execution after receiving clearances.

Minister for Information Technology and Human Resources Development Nara Lokesh said efforts are underway to align ITIs and polytechnic institutions with local industry needs. He also announced the establishment of a Centre of Excellence for Rare Earth Mineral Research at Andhra University, aimed at supporting strategic technology and manufacturing sectors.

The latest round of approvals further strengthens Andhra Pradesh’s position as an emerging destination for investments in renewable energy, manufacturing, digital infrastructure, and advanced technologies, while supporting the state’s employment and industrial growth ambitions.
