Pune, March 23: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and his ex-wife, director Kiran Rao, participated in the Paani Foundation event in Pune.
Paani Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on drought prevention and watershed management in Maharashtra, was co-founded by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao. Through this initiative, Khan has been actively working to alleviate water scarcity in select regions of Maharashtra, providing much-needed support to struggling farmers.
On the professional front, Aamir Khan is gearing up for his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par. Speaking at a recent event, he shared that the film is scheduled for a Christmas 2025 release. “My next film as a lead actor is Sitaare Zameen Par. We are aiming for a year-end release, around Christmas. It’s an entertaining film with a compelling story, and the shoot is already underway,” he stated. The film is expected to feature Genelia in a key role.
Additionally, Aamir Khan is stepping into the producer’s role for Lahore 1947, under his banner, Aamir Khan Productions. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film will feature Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta in lead roles, with Shabana Azmi and Ali Fazal also playing significant characters.
