Greater Noida: Yamuna Authority has announced a socially important scheme, under which ashrams will be set up for the elderly, widows and children with special needs. The scheme will be formally launched on October 20. Yamuna Authority has appealed to all interested organizations to participate in this noble initiative and get an opportunity to serve the weaker sections of the society.

What is the whole scheme

CEO Dr Arunvir Singh said that this scheme will be launched near Sector 22E near Jewar International Airport. Under this, two plots for children with special needs and five plots for old age homes and widows will be allotted. The area of ​​​​each plot will be 10 acres, which will provide adequate space for the detailed development of these institutions.

Apply for these plots from Yamuna Authority

The main objective of this scheme is to provide a safe life to the deprived sections of the society. The CEO said that we want our elderly, widows and special children to also join the mainstream of society and get all the necessary facilities. Under the scheme, any registered non-governmental organisation (NGO) can apply for these plots from the Yamuna Authority. The selected organisations will get the opportunity to run these ashrams and serve the needy people.
