Karnataka, May 7: In a vibrant tribute to Sanatan values and traditional rural living, the Dinesh Shahra Foundation (DSF), in collaboration with the Kamadugha Trust, presented the Gopal Gaurav Awards during a three-day spiritual event held at GauSwarga, Karnataka. The ceremony, commemorating Adi Shankaracharya Jayanti, was graced by the revered HH Shankaracharya Raghaveshwara Bharati Ji, whose presence added divine significance to the occasion.
The Gopal Gaurav Awards, a key initiative by DSF, recognized five dedicated cow caretakers—Shivaprasad Varmudi, Shashishekhar Darbhe, Mahesh Bidarkar, Prathap Malavalli, and Shailendra—for their unwavering service in nurturing indigenous cows and promoting holistic agricultural practices. Each awardee was honoured with a cash prize, a commemorative shawl, and a memento, celebrating their contributions to protecting India’s sacred bovine and ecological heritage.
The event featured the Dr. Shahra Kamadhenu Havan, devotional bhajans, and symbolic tree plantation drives, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere that promoted environmental stewardship and cultural reverence. Speaking at the event, Dr. Dinesh Shahra, founder of DSF, emphasized, “The cow is not just an animal but a sacred benefactor—nourishing us physically, spiritually, and economically. Her protection reflects the eternal wisdom of Sanatan Dharma.”
Prominent attendees included Mrs. Meera Rajda (DSF Mentor), Dr. Krishnamurthy of Kamadugha Trust, and other dignitaries who praised the foundation’s mission. Shankaracharya Raghaveshwara Bharati Ji lauded the initiative, calling it a “punya karya that strengthens Bharat’s roots through gau seva and sustainable living.”
Reaffirming DSF’s commitment to education, women’s empowerment, ecological conservation, and revival of indigenous knowledge systems, Dr. Shahra noted that the foundation’s work remains aligned with the blessings of Shankaracharya Ji and the spirit of “Sanatan Dharma.”
Guided by its core philosophy, “Live to Give,” the Dinesh Shahra Foundation continues to lead meaningful efforts that preserve and promote India’s spiritual and environmental heritage.
