Hyderabad, May 8: Renowned actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood is set to be honoured with the Humanitarian Award at the Grand Finale of the 72nd Miss World Festival, to be held on May 31, 2025, at the HITEX Arena in Hyderabad. The Miss World Organisation announced the award in recognition of Sood’s remarkable humanitarian efforts, particularly his life-changing work through the Sood Charity Foundation during the COVID-19 crisis.

In addition to receiving the award, Sood will serve as an official judge at the pageant’s final event, joining a panel of international dignitaries to help crown the next Miss World.

Expressing his gratitude, Sonu Sood said, “This honour reinforces our mission to bring hope, support, and dignity to those in need.” He also announced a new collaboration between the Miss World Organisation and the Sood Charity Foundation to promote global awareness for a Cancer-Free World.

Julia Morley CBE, Chair and CEO of the Miss World Organisation, praised Sood’s tireless dedication and compassion, stating that his work exemplifies the pageant’s ethos of ‘Beauty With A Purpose.’

Through the Sood Charity Foundation and its community initiative, the Sonu Sood Charity Club (SSCC), Sood has led initiatives in education, healthcare, skill development, and emergency aid. His efforts during the pandemic — from aiding stranded migrant workers to providing medical supplies and free education — have impacted millions at the grassroots level across India.
