New Delhi, April 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the YUGM Conclave today at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital. YUGM—meaning “confluence” in Sanskrit—is a landmark initiative that brings together leaders from government, academia, industry, and the innovation ecosystem.

The event marks a pivotal step in India’s innovation journey, with nearly ₹1,400 crore in collaborative investments from the Wadhwani Foundation and key government bodies.

In line with the Prime Minister’s vision of a self-reliant and innovation-driven India, several transformative initiatives will be launched. These include Superhubs at IIT Kanpur (focused on AI and Intelligent Systems) and IIT Bombay (centered on Biosciences, Biotechnology, Health, and Medicine); the introduction of Wadhwani Innovation Network (WIN) Centers at leading institutions; and strategic collaborations with the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) to support late-stage research.

The conclave will feature high-level panel discussions, roundtables, and a Deep Tech Startup Showcase spotlighting breakthrough innovations. Networking opportunities will also foster partnerships across sectors.

YUGM aims to accelerate lab-to-market innovation, enhance private investment in R&D, and drive collective progress towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
