Chandigarh : A leading technology solutions provider, Intersoft Data Labs, has made a generous donation of Rs 20 lakh to Peedu’s People, an NGO focused on animal welfare in Chandigarh. The funds will support various initiatives, including the Equine Welfare, Puppy Free Zone, and Waterbowl projects, all aimed at reducing human-animal conflict and enhancing the living conditions for animals.

Sandeep Passey, Managing Director of Intersoft Data Labs, emphasized the importance of animal welfare and the role of organizations like Peedu’s People. He presented the cheque in the presence of Caroline Rowett, Deputy High Commissioner at the British Deputy High Commission in Chandigarh. Passey stated, “We believe that every animal deserves a compassionate and safe environment. Intersoft is proud to partner with Peedu’s People in their mission to protect and care for these creatures.”

Inder Sandhu, Director of Peedu’s People, highlighted the organization’s tireless efforts to meet the needs of animals in various ways. He noted that the collaboration with Intersoft has led to successful initiatives, including the ‘Equine Welfare and Cruelty Prevention’ project, which aims to improve the living conditions and welfare of horses and other equines in the Tricity area.

This donation marks a significant milestone in the partnership between Intersoft and Peedu’s People, contributing to the completion of two of the four planned projects for the year: the Sector 23 Puppy Free Zone project and the Waterbowl project. The Equine project and Vaccination project are ongoing, and the NGO is also launching an E-rickshaw project for horses and other equines. As part of its CSR efforts, Intersoft recently released a horse into the ‘All Creatures Great and Small NGO’ sanctuary and donated an E-rickshaw to a horse cart owner. The NGO aims to free more horses and continue providing E-rickshaws to their owners to help sustain their livelihoods in the future.
