Renukoot, April 26: Hindalco Renukoot has been awarded the Rotary CSR Award for its outstanding work in the field of water conservation in the town and surrounding areas. The award was presented during a ceremony held in Pune, Maharashtra, by Vice Admiral Gurcharan Singh, Commandant of NDA Pune, who graced the event as the Chief Guest.

Hindalco began its work in water conservation several decades ago and, under its CSR initiatives, has implemented projects in several villages across the Dudhi, Myorpur, and Babhani blocks. Their efforts include the construction of check dams, stepwells (bawlis), pond deepening, and retaining walls to aid in water conservation.

Every year, water conservation projects are given significant priority in Hindalco’s community development initiatives. These efforts have not only promoted water conservation but also ensured a year-round water supply for farmers to support agricultural activities.

Upon receiving the Rotary CSR Award, Sameer Nayak, Head of Hindalco Renukoot, and Jasbir Singh, Cluster HR Head, expressed their happiness and congratulated the Renukoot CSR team. They remarked that receiving this prestigious award reflects Hindalco’s unwavering commitment to sustainable community development.
