Indore, March 4 : The NGO Seva Week, hosted by the Madhya Pradesh NGO Federation, concluded in Indore with remarkable participation. The closing ceremony, held on March 2 at Anand Mohan Mathur Auditorium, brought together over 11,100 NGOs and their members. Madhya Pradesh’s NGO Cell Minister, Ram Raghuvanshi, graced the occasion as the chief guest and recognized 60 outstanding NGOs for their commendable contributions to social service.
In his speech, Raghuvanshi emphasized the importance of the One Nation, One Election initiative and acknowledged the critical role of NGOs as a “parallel government” working at the grassroots level. He assured attendees that their efforts would be highlighted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, while also announcing plans to establish a dedicated department for NGOs in the near future. His announcement was met with widespread appreciation, including praise from federation president Shashi Satpute.
Held for the first time in Indore, the event spanned seven days of activities and is set to be recognized in world records for its scale. The ceremony was attended by several prominent figures, including MP Shankar Lalwani, social leaders Teju Baba, and Yogendra Mahant. A short film trailer on female foeticide was also unveiled at the event. Key organizers, including Rakesh Bathre, Shreyansh Jain, Ansh Jain, and Ravindra Jadhav, played a crucial role in making the event a success, with plans to expand it into a larger annual gathering.
