New Delhi : In a significant step toward promoting sustainable development and improving education in the region, the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has officially teamed up with the Gurugram-based NGO, Lotus Petal Foundation. This partnership, supported by the LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation, includes funding for the installation of solar panels at the Foundation’s expansive 5-acre Education & Skill Development campus, which aims to provide quality education to 10,000 underserved children, making it one of India’s largest philanthropic schools.

The collaboration between LIC and Lotus Petal Foundation signifies a strong commitment to sustainability through the implementation of a 45 KW solar power system. This initiative not only underscores LIC’s dedication to environmental stewardship but also aims to significantly reduce the campus’s carbon footprint and energy costs. By creating a more eco-friendly learning environment, this project sets a precedent for other institutions looking to adopt green energy solutions. Together, LIC and Lotus Petal Foundation are laying the groundwork for a brighter and more sustainable future.

Shri Manoj Atrishi, Regional Manager at LIC India, Zonal Office New Delhi, emphasized the importance of sustainability, stating, “LIC is honored to be part of this transformative journey and to support a place that will become one of India’s largest philanthropic schools. We believe that by experiencing the benefits of clean energy, students will be inspired to create a greener future.”

Shri Kushal Raj Chakravarty, Founder and Managing Trustee of the Lotus Petal Foundation, expressed gratitude for the partnership, saying, “We are deeply thankful to LIC for their support during this crucial phase of our journey. The installation of solar panels is not just an investment in renewable energy; it is a commitment to creating a sustainable and environmentally conscious campus where students can learn and thrive.”
