Ambala, Feb 4 : The Aastha Foundation has introduced an inspiring initiative at the Ambala bus stand by opening a canteen that offers hearty, nutritious meals for only ₹5. Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij inaugurated the canteen on Monday and personally experienced the service by purchasing a meal for ₹5.
During the event, Anil Vij also contributed ₹5 lakh from his personal funds to support the Aastha Foundation. He announced that this canteen serves as a pilot project in Ambala, with plans to expand the initiative statewide if it proves successful.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by key officials, including Ashwani Dogra, General Manager of Haryana Roadways, and Satendra Siwach, SDM of Ambala Cantt. Commuters and travelers lauded the effort, describing it as a commendable step toward ensuring affordable and accessible food for all.
This project highlights an increasing focus on providing budget-friendly, nutritious meals to travelers and underprivileged communities, setting a positive example for public welfare programs.
