New Delh, Feb 4 : The Pasmanda Vikas Foundation (PVF) successfully hosted the Qaumi Talimi Awards  along with an Educational and Economic Awareness Seminar at the Abdurrahman Auditorium, India Islamic Culture Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The event drew a crowd of over 500 participants.

The event aimed to bridge the divide between madrasa and modern education, empower women, enhance health and sanitation standards, provide legal assistance, and improve community infrastructure and amenities. Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Chairman of the National Minority Commission, attended as the chief guest, while Hazrat Maulana Murtaza Qasmi, Sheikhul Qurra from Madrasa Uloom, chaired the proceedings.

Awards and Recognitions

A number of prominent figures were recognized with esteemed awards, including:

– Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Award: Mufassir-e-Quran Maulana Mohammad Jamaluddin Qasmi Naqshbandi
– Hakimul Islam Award: Janab Qari Farman Qasmi Sahib
– Qayyum Ansari Award: Dr. Ayub Rain
– Ghulam Sarwar Award: Dr. MD Shahnawaz Hashmi
– Shaheed Abdul Hamid Award: Aftab Alam Ansari
– Aseem Bihari Award: Azim Ahmed

The ceremony began with a Quran recitation by Hazrat Maulana Qari Ansarul Haq Mazhari, followed by a Naat-e-Nabi presentation by Hafiz Shahdab from Delhi. Mufti Wasim Akram Qasmi, President of Majlis Ulema and PVF, gave the welcome speech, while MD Meraj Rayeen, Director of PVF, extended heartfelt thanks to all distinguished guests.

In his address, MD Meraj Rayeen stated, “This event is designed to motivate the community to embrace modern education within madrasa systems and foster overall social progress.”
