New Delhi, Jan 31 : The National Commission for Women (NCW) will celebrate its 33rd Foundation Day on January 31, 2025, at the Plenary Hall of Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. According to a press release, the event will be attended by the Hon’ble Vice President of India as the Chief Guest, with NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar hosting the occasion.

This year’s theme, Nari Tu Narayani, honors the strength, resilience, and divine power of Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar, emphasizing the limitless potential of women across India. As part of the celebration, four distinguished female Paralympians will be felicitated by the Vice President and the NCW Chairperson for their exceptional achievements, resilience, and dedication. Their inspiring journeys serve as powerful examples of perseverance, breaking barriers, and redefining possibilities.

Adding to the event’s significance, Vijaya Rahatkar’s book Karamyogini Veerangna, which pays tribute to Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar’s courage and leadership, will be presented to the Vice President.

Speaking on the occasion, NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar stated, “As we celebrate NCW’s 33rd Foundation Day, we reaffirm our commitment to women’s empowerment and ensuring their voices are heard. Women today are not just progressing—they are rewriting history. Our theme, Nari Tu Narayani, reflects this transformation as women continue to lead, innovate, and uplift communities nationwide.”
