Gurugram, Dec 12 : In a significant step towards women empowerment and education, an MoU was signed on Thursday between Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, Faridabad, and the Haryana State CSR Trust. The signing ceremony took place at the PWD Rest House in Gurugram, in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.

The MoU was signed by Ashok Kumar Mishra, General Manager of Power Grid, and Ajay Kumar, District Deputy Commissioner. Under this collaboration, a 100-bed girls’ hostel and a teaching block will be constructed at the Government Women’s College in Sector-14, Gurugram. Additionally, various IT, medical, and musical equipment will be provided to the institution.

The estimated cost of this project is ₹20 crore. This CSR initiative aims to enhance educational facilities for girls in and around Gurugram, advancing the cause of women empowerment. Focused on supporting higher education and professional career opportunities for women, this women-centric initiative marks a significant stride in enabling better educational infrastructure and resources for the daughters of Haryana.
