Apple has reported a record June quarter revenue of $109.4 billion, marking a 16% year-on-year increase, driven by strong iPhone demand and double-digit growth across key international markets, including India. However, the company has cautioned that rising memory chip prices and supply constraints could put pressure on its business in the coming quarters.
The strong performance was supported by record revenues across every geographic segment, with emerging markets continuing to play a significant role in Apple’s global growth strategy.
Record Growth Across Global Markets
Apple CEO Tim Cook said the company achieved June quarter revenue records across all major regions, including the United States, India, China, Japan, Southeast Asia, Latin America and Western Europe.
Among Apple’s regional markets:
- Greater China recorded the highest growth at 22.42%
- Europe grew 22.4%
- Rest of Asia Pacific increased 15.6%
Cook said Apple also recorded double-digit growth across most emerging markets, reflecting strong consumer demand despite global economic uncertainties.
iPhone and Mac Drive Revenue Growth
Apple’s flagship product categories delivered strong performances during the quarter.
iPhone revenue increased 21.7% to $54.25 billion, compared with $44.58 billion in the same quarter last year.
Mac revenue grew 28.66% to $10.35 billion, while the Wearables, Home and Accessories segment rose 6.46% to $7.88 billion.
However, iPad revenue declined by around 6%, falling to $6.19 billion from $6.58 billion a year earlier.
India Continues to Be a Key Growth Market
Apple Chief Financial Officer Kevan Parekh highlighted India as one of the company’s fastest-growing markets, alongside Latin America and Southeast Asia.
According to Parekh, Apple’s Mac business performed particularly well, with the newly launched MacBook Neo attracting a large number of first-time Mac users and customers upgrading from older devices.
Apple also reported record customer acquisition and upgrade rates for Mac in India, China and the United States.
Industry analysts noted that Apple’s growing retail presence, financing options and expanding local manufacturing continue to strengthen its position in the Indian market.
Memory Chip Prices Become Major Concern
Despite the record quarter, Apple warned that rising global memory chip prices are expected to impact its business over the coming months.
Tim Cook said the company has already experienced significantly higher memory costs during recent quarters and expects those costs to increase further in the September quarter.
While existing inventory and lower prices for certain non-memory components are expected to offset some of the impact in the near term, Cook cautioned that continued increases in memory pricing could place additional pressure on Apple’s costs beyond September.
Higher Component Costs Lead to Price Increases
Apple has already increased the starting prices of several MacBook and iPad models globally, including in India, with price hikes ranging from 20% to 42% following a sharp increase in memory chip costs.
Industry analysts believe similar pricing adjustments could eventually extend to other Apple products if component costs continue rising.
Analysts Remain Optimistic
Market analysts said Apple continues to benefit from strong demand across premium product categories despite cost pressures.
According to IDC India, Apple recorded another revenue milestone in India, supported by first-time buyers, expanding retail access and local iPhone manufacturing.
Counterpoint Research also noted that premium iPhone demand remains resilient, while the Mac lineup continues to gain traction through competitive pricing and growing consumer interest.
Although supply constraints and higher memory costs may affect margins in the near term, analysts expect Apple’s strong ecosystem and premium customer base to support continued growth.
