TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) organised the CSR Excellence Awards 2026 at its Management Development Centre (MDC) in Berhampur, recognising individuals, volunteers, sportspersons and community groups for their outstanding contributions to social development, sustainability and rural empowerment across Southern Odisha.
A major highlight of the event was the launch of the TPSODL CSR Film, showcasing the company’s impactful initiatives and community development programmes undertaken across the region during the past year.
Through its wide-ranging CSR initiatives, TPSODL has empowered more than 98,000 households, positively impacting nearly 4.8 lakh people across 1,044 Gram Panchayats through digital literacy programmes. The company has also educated over 60,000 students on sustainability, energy conservation and climate action through its Club Enerji initiative, promoting environmental awareness among young learners.
Under its Adhikaar programme, TPSODL has helped over 16,600 beneficiaries across 668 villages gain access to various government welfare schemes, improving financial inclusion and social security for rural communities.
The company’s CSR efforts also focus on education, skill development and livelihood generation. TPSODL has provided scholarships and educational support for diploma students, established vocational training centres to equip youth with industry-relevant skills, and conducted specialised training programmes in hospitality, food production and rooftop solar installation.
In addition, the company has promoted organic farming and supported the revival of the traditional Saura tribal art, creating sustainable livelihood opportunities while preserving Odisha’s rich cultural heritage.
According to the company, its CSR programmes impacted more than 10 lakh people during the last financial year through initiatives spanning education, healthcare, livelihoods, digital inclusion, sustainability and community development.
The event also featured a Sports Felicitation Programme, honouring athletes and contributors who achieved success at state-level competitions with the support of TPSODL. Volunteers and employee teams were recognised for their active participation in Tata Volunteering Week 2025 and Tata Sustainability Month 2025, reflecting the Tata Group’s commitment to employee-led social impact.
Another key segment of the ceremony was the Anokha Dhaaga Self-Help Group (SHG) Felicitation, where women entrepreneurs were honoured for their dedication, craftsmanship and contribution towards building sustainable livelihoods and strengthening rural economies.
