South Africa : On September 27, 2024, Mohanji was honored with the prestigious Sivananda Humanitarian Award by the Sivananda World Peace Foundation. The award recognized his unwavering commitment to serving humanity and fostering spiritual growth. The presentation was made by Prince Ishwar Ramlutchman and Ms. Yogas Nair, editor of ‘The Post’ newspaper.
The award ceremony took place at a vibrant Multicultural Heritage event at the scenic Richards Bay Yacht Club, celebrating South Africa’s rich traditions. The event featured captivating displays of traditional Zulu and Indian dances, symbolizing cultural unity. Esteemed speakers included Prof. Musa MK Xulu, Mr. Senzo Dube, Commodore Brent Craig, Musa Mntambo, Cllr S. Zwane, Ms. Sulosh Pillay, and Prince Ishwar Ramlutchman, each paying homage to South Africa’s cultural heritage.
In his keynote speech, Mohanji stressed the importance of protecting nature, promoting peace, and empowering communities. He encouraged the audience to preserve natural beauty, embrace abundance, and foster unity by overcoming divisions. He also spoke about the World Tribal Alliance (WTA), advocating for the empowerment and preservation of indigenous cultures globally. Mohanji’s message highlighted global citizenship, emphasizing personal responsibility and authentic expression for a more peaceful world.
A memorable moment at the event was when Mohanji took up the traditional Zulu spear and shield, joining Zulu warriors in a symbolic dance, embodying joy and unity.
This award follows previous honors Mohanji received in South Africa, including recognition from the Conscious Companies group and the Ministry of Forestry, Fisheries, and Environment. He also holds the Zulu Peace Warrior Stick, presented by His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini, as a guardian of peace in the land. Mohanji’s dedication to humanitarian work has also earned him the Sivananda World Peace Award for his tireless efforts in uplifting all species on Earth.
